Borås Yrkeshögskola
Here, you can enrol in the 3D Clo basic course , designed for those who have worked or studied fashion design and/or pattern construction. This course is distance learning.
The Garment Technical Designer programme is the largest textile education offered at Borås Vocational College. This two-year programme provides in-depth knowledge in pattern construction and garment technology, with a strong emphasis on 3D. Graduates can pursue careers as pattern makers, garment technicians, design assistants, or similar roles within the textile industry.
Nordic Textile Academy
The Nordic Textile Academy is a hub for education and skills development in textiles and fashion.
- Two-year vocational programmes in textiles & fashion: design, purchasing, sales, quality, sustainability, and production development.
- Tailored training for companies in the textile and fashion industry.
- Short vocational courses for professionals in the textile and fashion industry.

Borås Adult Education
Here, you can take a one-year foundational course in pattern construction and sewing. The programme starts in both the autumn and spring terms and is intensive, educational, and creatively rewarding.
After completing the course, you can apply for jobs in sewing or pursue higher education in textiles. Learn more about the programme here.
Swedish School of Textiles
The Swedish School of Textiles holds a prestigious position among the world’s textile education institutions. It is also the only school in Sweden focusing on textiles and fashion with degree-granting authority at all levels, across three different fields of study:
– Textile Technology
– Design – Textiles and Fashion
– Textile Management
The Swedish School of Textiles offers 17 different programmes and 40 independent courses, covering everything from fashion design and sustainability to sportswear and outdoor clothing design.
