New knowledge branches out! Nourishment to the roots makes the tree grow and blossom! At our booth, we present our project Flexible and Lifelong Learning. We showcase the University of Borås’ Swedish School of Textiles range of standalone courses, courses integrated into study programmes, and contract education developed in collaboration with companies. We explain how to apply and how online courses can become a natural part of both your company’s and your own lifelong skills development.

The Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Borås has, as the first educational institution ever, developed a new generation of guide uniforms for the United Nations (UN) Headquarters. Around twenty design students are behind the collection, characterized by sustainability, high fashion, and innovation. The collection was launched on April 22, 2025, and parts of it are currently on display in the Smart Textiles Showroom.

The Textile Museum is one of the leading museums in the Nordic region for textiles and fashion, with collections of clothing, fabrics, textile machines, and more. The permanent exhibition Textil Kraft tells the story of textile production, while temporary exhibitions vary from fashion, design, art, and crafts to technology, research, sustainability, and smart textiles.

During Borås Textile Days, temporary exhibitions include Linea Matei – “Do You See Me” and Sven Fristedt – Master of Patterns.

22 Nordic brands within fashion, furniture, and sports are showcasing their first prototypes of digital product passports – developed as part of the Interreg ÖKS-funded project Data to Business, where companies from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway are working to transform data into new business models and strengthen their circularity.

Guest Exhibitor in Omstart Mode

The Textile Museum’s exhibition Omstart Mode addresses the urgent need to change textile production and consumption. To bring the exhibition to life, current guests are invited to participate.

Since 2022, the artist Jeanette Schäring has been running an artistic development project related to the cultural history of color.

In the project, Jeanette has, among other things, used the Textile Museum’s archives and collections to explore historical pathways and connections for textiles, color, and water.

In Omstart Mode, her works Vattnet och isens gudinna and the film Allt har sin hemlighet. Blåeriets heliga rum have been previously exhibited.

Fashion Factory

Fashion Factory Sweden is a creative fashion and design agency. Our team consists of handpicked specialists and artisans to ensure that you as a client receive the best possible support throughout the design and production process.


From one-off assignments to comprehensive solutions, we assist both small and large companies and brands in the fashion and textile industry. This can include everything from a new product or product line idea, design, technical sketches, construction, and tech packs. Textile Producers is a non-profit association founded by and for Sweden’s sewing manufacturers.
The purpose of the association is to strengthen and highlight Swedish textile production today. In our country, there is enormous innovative capacity that enables a transparent and circular production chain where quality, craftsmanship, and environmental considerations are at the center.

Textile Producers bring together experts across the entire textile sewing production chain – from fashion and home textiles to interior design, public environments, and specialized production for branding and advertising.

Digital Business Lab inspires and educates students, collaborates with companies, and supports researchers with expertise in the intersection between digital innovation and business development.

Fashion and the Creative Process


Time: Ongoing
Organizer/Host: The Swedish School of Textiles

Students from the Bachelor’s programme in Textile Management and the Textile Economics programme at the Swedish School of Textiles present the concepts they have developed in the course Fashion and the Creative Process.

In the course, the students have explored how fashion can be understood and how creativity can be encouraged. The final outcome is an original concept based on a second-hand polo shirt from Myrorna that could not be sold, combined with a pair of returned jeans from Bubbleroom.

The exhibition highlights the creative ideas that emerged through this process. You are warmly welcome to explore the students’ visions and discover how unsold garments can be given new life!
